Velvet Noir, the Manager/Co-Director of the Duluth Dolls Burlesque and Cabaret, has been an integral part of the troupe since its inception in January 2012. As the co-director, she takes pride in guiding the Dolls on their journey while contributing to the enchanting performances they deliver. Known affectionately as “Mama Sheila,” Velvet is revered for her nurturing nature, profound wisdom, and steadfast demeanor. To her, burlesque transcends mere entertainment; it represents a captivating fusion of movement, sentiment, and empowerment. She strongly advocates for the revelatory nature of dance as a means to honor one’s unique identity. Velvet Noir graces the stage at the Vampire Ball with an aura of timeless elegance, adorned in shadows and shimmering sequins, captivating all with her spellbinding presence.
Sandra Sterling
Sandra Sterling is a life-long performance enthusiast who enjoys a good beat and the element of surprise. When she’s not meticulously removing silk gloves, she lounges languidly in her dressing gown, dousing herself in perfume and singing out a window in hopes of luring in wayward travelers. Combining elements of burlesque, acro tricks, and writhing on the floor, Sandra’s dancing will leave you hungry for more. She lives in a candy cottage at the edge of the forest and thinks you look delicious.
